Men and Women

I watched Brokeback Mountain with my officemates (all girls) last Friday. I can honestly say that I liked it.

After watching, I met up with a bunch of friends (mostly guys) for drinks and I found out that most guys refuse to watch Brokeback. Hmmm....

The next day, I went to a party at my friend's house and I learned that a lot of the girls who watched this movie liked it A LOT. Most of the guys hadn't seen it, and I got the impression that the ones who had just went because their girlfriends wanted to watch it. Only one guy said he liked it. And, no, he is not gay. Far from it. Hmmm...

It's funny how a discussion over a movie can bring out the difference between men and women....

Priorities

I saw Close to You at G4 last Saturday. (It was entertaining enough...)

We were supposed to go to the Eurostar Carnival afterwards, but we ended up looking around Rustans and eating dinner late. Priorities nga naman...

Hehehe.... I wonder what it says about you when you prioritize a Pinoy movie over an amusement park that's supposed be tons of fun. Mwehehe...

I honestly have to say that MY FRIENDS ROCK simply because we chose our kajologan over the typical, run-of-the-mill Saturday gimik! Mwehehehe! ;P

Sa uulitin!

you can't take that away from me...

I'm not angry...
I know I have no right to be...

I'm not even hurt...
I know that while it affects me, it had nothing to do with me...
At least, not directly...

But there is one thing I'm entitled to...
The only thing that I have the right to feel...
It's this sadness that seems to have taken over me...
You can't take that away from me...

Vday

It's Valentine's Day and I just need to post an entry about it!

This is the 5th Valentine's Day in a row that I've spent without a real Valentine's date. How did I spend the past 4 Vdays? Here you go:

Year 1: Hung out at the UP fair with an ex. It might seem weird from the point of view of a 3rd person, but, hey, we figured: "Why not? We're friends, and neither of us has a date, anyway."

Year 2: Singles' night out with a bunch of friends from high school.

Year 3:UP fair with a bunch of friends.

Year 4: Singles' night out with some of my friends from law school. Italianni's Eastwood. I still remember, because it was just last year.

This year: UP fair with some of my friends from law school.

I think I'm going to start a personal tradition... I wonder if I should start spending every Valentine's at the UP fair, regardless of who I choose to go with (friends, family or, eventually, a boyfriend)

Hmm... Being single on Valentine's Day hasn't been traumatic for me at all. I've actually had a lot of fun "Singles' Empowerment Day" (what some people call Vday) memories.

Then again, I'd still love to have a real Valentine next year. :) Hehehe...

Settling

I haven't quite made my final decision yet, but it looks like I'm going to settle for this guy who's ok, fun and INTERESTED IN ME, instead of holding out for the guy I really like.

Such is life...

What an Ass!

Unfortunately, i'm referring to my ass...

One of my closest guy friends (who happens to go to the same gym I do) approached me as I got off the stepper/stairmaster. He whispered, "hey, nice ass!" and I didn't know whether to be flattered or horrified. He laughed and actually explained to me how my buns were "nice", which didn't really help me figure out how I felt about the whole thing.

After a quick smoke, he left and I went to my sister and her friend, who also happened to be at the gym. I told them what my friend told me. They said something like, "your ass was saying hello to everyone."

Hmmm... So what EXACTLY am I supposed to wear with white jazz pants? I don't exactly wanna have a panty line, so I'm still gonna wear a thong... But that doesn't solve my "butt problem". ..Should I wear a long shirt?

Sports

It just hit me that I rarely watch any games (of any sport) nowadays. I love sports. Well, I love watching games, at least.

The only sports I really engage in are taekwondo and basketball. Unfortunately, my black belt has gone to waste because I haven't trained in over 8 years (holy shit!) and I can't even remember the last time I played basketball. :( Occasionally, I play catch (not baseball, because I'm not particularly good at batting) but it's been a while since I last threw (pitched?) a baseball.

Haay...
