Last night...
I was in Promenade with my friends last night (we were all girls) and this guy approaches us, asking for a light. Now, this happens a lot, since it's accepted amongst us smokers to share our lighters (or matches) with other smokers. What was weird was his attempt at small talk...
Guy: So, are you guys from this area?
*my friends turn and look at me*Me: Uhh... Not really... QC... (thank God, QC is huge!)
Guy: Ahh, still near....
*guy walks away after lighting his

Guy: Uhh... Can I have another light? I puffed

Christmas Weekend
I sound like I have a frog stuck in my throat. I think I had too much fun this weekend. Too much food, too much to drink, too much yosi! Hehehe. :
PDecember 23 - High school barkada dinner at Gery's Promenade... Coffee at Starbucks afterwards... Some of us decided to transfer to North Park Wilson... Drinks -Cervesa Negra, San Mig Light, water and Toffee Nut Latte
December 24 - Last
simbang gabi mass! (no sleep at all)... Went to Nailscapades with my sister (so relaxing!)... Anticipated Christmas mass... Christmas eve and Noche Buena in Alabang with my dad's side of the family... Drinks-water and Vodka Ice
December 25 - Christmas lunch in Tierra Pura with my mom's side of the family... Some of us went to Powerplant to watch
Mulawin and ended up having dinner there... Drinks- water , SMB Pale and Coke Light (Btw, I was shocked to find that the SMB Grande comes in a plastic, twist-cap bottle that looks a lot like the 1-liter bottle used for Coke products!)
December 26 - Lunch in Binangonan with my mom's side of the family (again) and my cousins' other relatives... Drinks - water and white wine (Chardonnay)
Argh... My throat....
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
There are only 2 kinds of Christmas traffic - slow and/or horrible - but this isn't enough to bring me down from my "Christmas high" because:
1) I'm one mass away from completing
Simbang Gabi! 2) I'm having Christmas dinner with my high school barkada tonight.
3) Despite my toxic pre-Christmas sked and her packed "visit home" itinerary, I was able to meet up with a really good high school friend (whom I haven't seen since July!) last night. She'll only be here a few weeks, then she's off to London again.
4) Christmas is family time! Yey! Quality time with my relatives! :)

I lost the lighter my brother gave me. Yes, it's just a butane lighter, but, the point is, HE got it FOR ME from Paris and it's really slim and cute. It's silver and it has a picture of the Eiffel Tower on it. SYEEEEETTTTTT! Ang tanga-tanga ko...

Christmas Dinner with my kids last Monday at Jack's Loft. Some of the college kids volunteered to take charge of the "end of the school year dinner" because they wanna do the whole videoke thing. Oooh, it's been a few months since the last time I did videoke....

It's my baby sister's birthday today!
I left the house before I got the chance to greet her and we still haven't made arrangements for dinner. :(
The point of all this? I gotta remind myself that, you know, you win some, you lose some!

My high school kabarkada gave birth to a baby boy last December 5! Our barkada now has 3 baby boys and 0 girls! Ironic, considering that this is an all-girl barkada...
Another high school friend (from another barkada) gave birth to a baby girl a few weeks ago.

SATURDAY : had to pull "driver
ng bayan" duty...coffee at starbucks ash creek
SUNDAY:3rd day of simbang gabi...went to the parlor for threading and a badly-needed haircut (lopped off 3 inches of my hair!)...dinner and inuman at my tita's house (she had a group of carolers over. )
MONDAY: 4th day of simbang gabi... I wonder what this week has in store for me. :)
King Kong (no spoilers)
I saw the "advanced screening" of King Kong the other day and I just have this to say:
It's a good movie, possibly even a great one, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. :( It's about three hours long and I actually FELT how long it was. I liked it, but I came out of the movie feeling a bit tired. :(

I've been hanging out with one of my exes lately. He wants to set me up with one of his friends. I'm not sure how that will turn out but, hey, what have I got to lose, right?
It's kinda annoying how I find it so easy to make friends, but, at the same time, I can't throw the right signals at the guy I like. *sigh*
I dunno. I guess it's just easier to act like I just wanna be friends with someone, because, that way, he can't reject me. I just don't wanna end up offering something to someone who doesn't want it, anyway. :(
If only I could stop sending the "friend vibe" to guys I don't just wanna be friends with...
Office Christmas Party
Our office is having our Christmas party later. :) We get off work around 3pm (which means I'm supposed to be rushing to meet a deadline, instead of doing this... hehehe...;p), then it's off to Alabang for the party. I hope traffic isn't that bad! We'll be coming from Ortigas, so I'm not sure about that. :O
Anyhooch, our theme is "the 70s" and I have a really great costume. I'm not sure if I should be proud of it, or if I should be horrified at the idea of being seen in that get-up! ;p I even borrowed an afro wig thingy from my sister's friend. In return, I have to show her a picture of myself in FULL costume. Nyahahaha! ;p I'm sure she'll have a blast.

tiring, but fun!
I've been going out every night since Wednesday. It's been a bit tiring, since I wake up around 530am to go to work (it takes me FOREVER to get ready) but I can't say I regret those gimmicks. :) Like I said in my previous post, I really miss my friends! I mean, I even have coffee planned for tonight! :D Wow, it's December
