HAPPY 2006!
...Haay, my undergrad friends and I weren't able to meet up last Thursday. I ended up going to Podium with my siblings. Don't get me wrong, I like hanging out with my siblings. I'm just kinda sad about not seeing my undergrad friends. I haven't seen any of them since the Bar, which was way back in September. I really miss them... :(

It was my tita's birthday last Friday. I spent the whole day at my lola's house because my 10 year-old brother wanted to play with the kids. I brought him home around dinner time so that I could meet up with my "adult" siblings and get ready to go out with the rest of the "adults" from my Mom's side of the family. We went to Jack's at the Fort. It's funny, I actually prefer going to places like Jack's (and/or Jill's) than Embassy. I guess I really am more laid-back than some of my friends. I've never been to Embassy, and, unless my friends tell me that they really wanna go there, I don't think I'll be hanging out there in the near future.

My family spent New Year's Eve with my Dad's side of the family. We went after mass, so people weren't going crazy with the firecrackers yet. Lotsa booze, and food! My Dad got drunk. The fireworks were pretty and the firecrackers were loads of fun. Yey, sawa! :) Hehehe...
We have 2 New Year's Eve traditions in our family: (1) My dad insists that we all wear the shirts made from the same cloth (or, at the very least, are of the same color and shade) and we have to wear matching hats. We don't really have a choice about this. As silly as we might look, we've gotten used to it. This year, our matching outfits weren't that bad. Thank God! I hated last year's outfit; (2) After the fireworks and media noche we have the "pasabog." This, basically, consists of my tito, throwing coins and tightly folded/bunched up bills from his balcony, while we look like idiots scrambling for the money. It can get ugly, but, overall, it's a lot of fun. I was actually the big loser in my family, because I only got Php1,060.00. This is actually a fairly decent amount, but my cousin, the big winner, got over Php2000.00 and $100.00 (Canadian, not US, but still a big amount!) and my sister, the big winner amongst us siblings, got over Php3000.00 and $20.00 (Hong Kong, not US). Not bad, huh?

We had New Year's lunch with my Mom's side of the family. We don't have any crazy traditions, but we always have tons of fun... and LOADS of beer. Hehehe... :D There are also a lot of kids, so things can get a bit...uhm...loud... Sometimes, I forget that when kids play they might fight, but they usually work things out in a matter of minutes. Hehehe. Riot!
By the time we got home for New Year's dinner with my Dad's side (again) all I was able to do was eat, drink some hot chocolate, smoke and lie down. I didn't even have the energy to socialize!

Now that the holiday season is over, I can feel my body complaining about how much I abused it over the past few weeks. I start going to the gym tonight. Wish me luck... Ack!
